What the numbers mean

Five measures appear throughout Visibian. Four describe how AI talks about you. The fifth, the confidence range, tells you how much to trust the other 4.

Measure	What it tells you
Visibility	The share of answers that mention you. Ask 100 questions, get named in 30, and your visibility is 30%.
Share of voice	Of all the brand mentions in your answers, how many were yours. It tells you how crowded the conversation is.
Sentiment	How warmly you are described, from 0 to 100. Higher is warmer.
Position	Where you appear in an answer. Being named first is worth more than being fifth in a list.
Confidence range	The band beside visibility, such as “24–38%”. It is the 95% confidence range: the honest margin around the number.

Why the range matters

AI answers are not identical every time. Ask the same question twice and you may get 2 different answers. A single percentage would hide that. The range says: given how much we have collected, the true figure is very likely somewhere in here.

So when you compare 2 periods, look at the ranges. If they overlap, you have not moved. You have collected noise. If they are clear of each other, something happened. Visibian applies exactly that test before it calls anything a change or sends an alert.

In practice“We went from 31% to 34%” is usually not news. “We went from 31% to 52% and the ranges do not overlap” is. When in doubt, collect for longer before drawing a conclusion.

The dashed lines on the chart

A dashed line marks a day when that AI model changed its behavior across every Visibian customer at once. If your numbers moved on one of those days, it was the model, not you.
